WeTab aims for active dialogue with community

Munich / Hannover – 25 February 2011: Literally in the last minute 4tiitoo AG decided to present their Tablet-Computer WeTab at this year’s CeBIT. The central concern of the presentation at booth D14 / 3 in hall 19 is to maintain and strengthen an open dialogue with the community. In addition, the diversity of applications for business and leisure enabled by the open concept of the German Tablet-Computer will be demonstrated at various stations.

“The development of WeTab has made remarkable progress in recent weeks and months: This enormous momentum is not least owed to the significant commitment of the WeTab community,” explains Tore Meyer, CEO of 4tiitoo AG: “In order to maintain and intensify this successful and open dialogue with the WeTab community we decided to participate in this year’s CeBIT at short notice. We’re looking forward to take any suggestions – as well as criticism.” Tore Meyer continues: “The future of MeeGo and Qt are debated quite controversial and with some uncertainty after the announcement of Nokia and Microsoft. Thus our CeBIT presentation will offer the possibility for direct contact and personal talks with developers and users in the Open Source community.”

The platform wetab-community.com is one of the largest German communities in the Tablet Computer segment: A strong team guarantees a good climate in its online forums and supports all members actively with help and advice. Andrew Brenner, founder and administrator of the platform: “We are pleased with the strong support by 4tiitoo AG, which will allow a direct, open and lively exchange between experts, developers and users at this year’s CeBIT.”

Augmented Reality on the WeTab
Another highlight of the fair presentation of 4tiitoo AG is a demonstration of Augmented Reality (AR) applications by metaio GmbH, a pioneer in the field of AR Technologies: Based on the high performance and flexible software architecture of the WeTab the company shows how it will be possible in the future, to enrich the reality surrounding us by digital information. “With its large display and the powerful Intel ® technology the WeTab is the ideal base to bring the complex AR technologies and algorithms to mobile devices,” comments metaio’s managing director Peter Meier.

E-Health Solution by myVitali ®
A very different use of the WeTab opportunities will be shown by myVitali AG of Switzerland: The system provides the fully automated detection and analysis of vital data on the basis of WeTab. Unlike the classic preventive and therapeutic methods the Vitali system motivates the user to actively and effectively take care of his health. A virtual coach explains the current and historical values and supports the user with amusing, although medically competent advices. The user’s doctor and contact persons can be integrated into the system: in case of exceeding pre-defined limits, they are automatically informed. The touch-screen environment of the WeTab allows a simple and intuitive use – without any computer education.

The 4tiitoo AG was founded 2007 in Munich to bring everyone closer to the best of the Internet and modern information technologies. 4tiitoo provides intuitive software solutions with focus on touch-screen devices in combination with content and a strong e-commerce framework. As a subsidiary of 4tiitoo AG WeTab GmbH develops the WeTab, an innovative Tablet Computer, which, due to its open system architecture, supports several different platforms and offers an alternative to closed systems.
